Born in Korea, Michelle Misook Sohn worked at an animation company called Samdo Films during the 80s, when animations were processed manually, so naturally came to gain experience in drawing.

To help her 3 kids adapt to the rapidly-changing modern world, she immersed them into learning Korean traditional music and dance, as well as language. Through the Morningstar Korean Cultural Center, she has performed in and managed over 300 shows in dozens of countries around the world. While managing and producing performances for Morningstar, she took an interest in and proceeded to receive her bachelors in Cultural Arts Management from Korea University, and is currently pursuing her Masters in the same field.

Michelle has been a Signature Member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists for the last 3 years, and has put on two solo exhibitions, titled “First Dreamer” and “Winter Dreamer.” She has most recently placed third at the Mercer Island Visual Arts League’s 2019 “Treasures in Miniatures” show and has been selected to exhibit her work in the City of Auburn Gallery next summer.
